Are you searching for a graphic design job placement or freelance contract work? Lately, I’ve been getting emails from design talent recruiters trying to fill creative positions. That got me thinking. Which talent agencies are worth working with?
So what does a talent agency do? A design talent agency provides carefully screened designers, developers and copywriters to employers. I’ve managed to narrow down it to three well known companies.
Aquent is one of the largest creative talent recruiters. They exist across both small and major cities in the US offering job placements. It looks like they are mostly onsite.
Artisan Talent specializes in print jobs, web jobs, and marketing jobs in major cities like Chicago, NYC, and Los Angeles. Agents offer freelance or long-term work. Jobs are also posted on their website.
Vitamin T is a division of Aquent. They exist exclusively “to meet the unique needs of ad agencies, mid-sized companies and digital creatives.” They are more onsite focused but do have some offsite work. I’ve actually spoken to an agent from Indianapolis who was very enthusiastic. I ended up going in for a longer interview and plan on taking on some work in the Indianapolis area.
If you are interested in being referred to Vitamin T shoot me an email, and Ill see what I can do via the talent referral program. They have offices in most major cities.
Have you worked with any of them? Please do share your thoughts or other suggestions. I’d love to hear more about your positive/negative experiences.
